RESIDENT campS 2026
It just doesn’t get any better than camp! Camp Gilead is an incredible place to meet new friends, catch up with old friends and spend time growing in your relationship with the Lord. Year after year I am so excited to see new and familiar faces at camp and know that God is calling and preparing the next generation of ministry workers right here at Gilead! This summer there will be many new surprises and games, along with some of your favorite traditions! Our staff members are college aged, Christian young adults who go through an extensive application, interview, background check and screening process. Many of our staff come back year after year and continue to serve at Gilead. High school staff are part of a leadership training program and rotate through a wide variety of camp responsibilities. All employees complete a WA state background check.

A Health Care Professional will be on site to handle all accident or illness related problems that arise and to administer all medications, both prescription and over the counter. All prescription drugs must be in the original container with dosage instructions on the label. Turn all medications in to the nurse upon arrival.
Nutritious meals are served, and health related diets can be accommodated, if planned ahead of time. If your child has dietary restrictions for health reasons, please contact our Food Service Director at stephanie@campgilead.org. We can’t accommodate picky eaters but are happy to help with health-related issues.
Red Cross certified lifeguards and activity instructors provide a safe environment for activities. Because we emphasize safety and proper use of equipment in all camp instruction, activities and games, campers are required to wear appropriate gear.

At Camp Gilead we have our own store, Pop’s Inn. We will set up an account for your child at check in. Campers have the opportunity to visit the store daily. The store is stocked full of fun camp souvenirs, water bottles, sweatshirts, as well as candy, pop and ice cream. The suggested daily amount is $3-5 for candy & pop per day, plus money for souvenirs! Sweatshirts range from $40-50.

We understand that there is a great possibility of someone leaving something behind. Please mark all of your camper’s clothing well so this can be minimized. All lost and found items will be held until Oct 1st and may be picked up at camp prior to that.

Resident Camp
Mail is a big deal at Camp Gilead! 3 letters in a day = your camper will sing for their mail! 1 package per day = your camper will spin the “Wheel of Misfortune!” More packages per day do not equal more spins! 😊 If you would like to bring mail to camp to drop off on Monday, there will be bins marked for each day to leave letters and packages in. Please mark all mail with camper’s first and last name. Due to the high volume of mail we process, please limit packages to small and medium boxes.
Day Camp
Once during the week, we will have a fun mail call activity. We will send a daily newsletter home with each child letting you know when to bring the mail in for this activity. Packages and letters are encouraged.
