Spending Money
At Camp Gilead we have our own store, called Pop's Inn. We will
set up an account for your child at check in. Campers
will have the opportunity to visit the store daily. We will have tons
of fun camp souvenirs, water bottles, t-shirts, sweatshirts, postcards as
well as candy, pop and ice cream. Moms and Dads...the suggested daily
amount is $2-3 per day, plus money for other fun camp stuff! T-shirts
range from $15-20 and sweatshirts from $20-25.
Bring Your Friends!!!
The more, the merrier! Bring your best
buddy or your whole classroom! In fact, the more friends you bring,
the more you'll be able to spend in our camp store! For every FIRST
TIME camper that you bring with you, you will earn $5 to spend in Pop's
Inn. Just have your friend write your name on their registration as
the one who invited them! Remember, you must be a returning camper,
and they must be a first time camper.
Lost and Found
We understand that there is a great possibility of someone leaving
something behind. Please mark all of your camper's clothing well so
this can be minimized. All lost and found items will be held for 30
days after the end of the camping season and may be picked up at camp prior
to that.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of each camper is a very important part of Camp
Gilead. We provide safe and healthy living facilities with the best
possible supervision. Camp meals not only taste great -- but they are nutritious!
Summer staffers are dedicated college age men
and women who are committed to Jesus Christ. Red Cross certified lifeguards and
activity instructors provide a safe environment for activities.
Because we emphasize safety and proper use of equipment in all camp
instruction, activities and games, campers are required to wear appropriate
gear. Our Registered Camp Nurse
is always on hand to take care of the ill, injured or those that need just a
big hug! The camp nurse will also distribute any medication that your
camper might need to take, both prescription and over-the-counter.
Cabin Assignments
Campers are assigned to cabins and every effort is made to fill
REQUESTED cabin mates before arrival at camp.
